Every great idea has a beginning, and ours started on the couch at our mother’s home in The Bahamas.
It was there that my sister and I sat brainstorming the things we genuinely loved and imagining how we could turn them into something of our own. We explored countless ideas, dreaming up possibilities until one afternoon, a new idea came to mind: matcha.
A little dream on pause
Still, the idea never truly left me.
The cart
We envisioned a mobile matcha cart serving high-quality matcha in The Bahamas. What began as a simple idea quickly became something we were excited to bring to life. We spent weeks planning our brand, imagining the experience we wanted to create, and shopping for our future mobile cart.
The pause
But as life often does, other responsibilities took priority, and our little dream was put on pause.
The idea that stayed
For over a year, I found myself thinking about what could have been and wondering if there was still something special waiting to come from that original vision. Eventually, I realized that perhaps the idea wasn’t meant to disappear. Maybe it was simply meant to grow into something different.
And so, Match Made in Heaven was born
Today, we are a family-owned and operated brand built around our love for matcha and experiencing something new.
